Quantum formalism for events and how time can emerge from its foundations

چکیده
Although time is one of our most intuitive physical concepts, its understanding at the fundamental level still an open question in physics. For instance, quantum mechanics and general relativity are two distinct incompatible entities. While deals with events (points spacetime), being observer dependent dynamical, describes systems by treating as independent parameter. To resolve this conflict, work, we extend classical concept event to domain defining a transfer information between systems. Then, describing universe from perspective certain observer, introduce states space-time-symmetric wave functions that predict joint probability distribution measurement (observation) $(t,\stackrel{P\vec}{x})$. Under these circumstances, without assuming collapse, propose well-defined instant time, like any other observable, arises single event, thus observer-dependent property. In manner, obtain stationary state written sum sequence normalized increasing memories. As consequence, counterfactual asymmetry along gives rise flow successive ``snapshots'' observer's perspective. proposal, which contrasts strikingly view illusion, it many distinguishable stores makes existence possible.

How Fast Can Complexity Emerge in Nature?
Computation in the physical world is restricted by the following spatial locality constraint: In a single unit of time, information can only travel a bounded distance in space. A simple computational model which captures this constraint is a cellular automaton: A discrete dynamical system in which cells are placed on a grid and the state of each cell is updated via a local deterministic rule th...
متن کاملHow Classical Particles Emerge From the Quantum World
The symmetrization postulates of quantum mechanics (symmetry for bosons, antisymmetry for fermions) are usually taken to entail that quantum particles of the same kind (e.g., electrons) are all in exactly the same state and therefore indistinguishable in the strongest possible sense. These symmetrization postulates possess a general validity that survives the classical limit, and the conclusion...
متن کاملCan Anything Emerge from Nothing?
Incomplete Nature is about an important and difficult subject: how life and mind evolved from a world of inanimate matter. It is also about what are the right concepts to use in understanding the nature and workings of life and mind. We need to be able to conceive them in such a way that it becomes intelligible that they could have arisen naturally from the kinds of inanimate processes describe...
متن کاملFoundations for proper-time relativistic quantum theory
This paper is a progress report on the foundations for the canonical proper-time approach to relativistic quantum theory. We first review the the standard square-root equation of relativistic quantum theory, followed by a review of the Dirac equation, providing new insights into the physical properties of both. We then introduce the canonical proper-time theory. For completeness, we give a brie...
